Brief Profile of Board Members of Ananya
Mr. Brij Mohan: Mr. Brij Mohan is the non-Executive Chairman of Ananya Finance for Inclusive Growth Pvt. Ltd. He is also the Chairman of ACCESS Development Services, a not-for-profit company providing incubation and technical services in the area of microfinance & microenterprises. He is the Chairman of MicroSave India Ltd. & Managing Trustee of MicroSave India Trust. His other roles include that of a Director at M-Cril (a microfinance credit rating Company) and as a policy advisor at Sa-dhan. He served in SIDBI for more than 14 years holding different key positions including the position of Executive Director.
Ms. Vijayalakshmi Das: Ms. Vijayalakshmi Das is the Managing Director and Promoter Director of Ananya Finance for Inclusive Growth (P) Limited. She is the former Chief Executive of FWWB, India. She joined the organization at a crucial stage of FWWB’s growth and worked on the strategic positioning of the institution by formulating the first business plan, building a committed team and its capital base. She has also served as a member of Project Advisory Group-CGAP. She currently is a member of the Board of Trustees of Sa-Dhan, the Association of Community Development Finance Institutions. She is one of the founding Trustees of Indian School of Microfinance for Women (ISMW)- a school started in partnership with Citigroup. Ms. Das is a Post Graduate in Economics from Madras University. She is also board member of Invest India Micro Pension Services Pvt. Ltd. - Pension and Insurance Products Company for low income workers.
Ms. Jayshree Vyas: Jayshree Vyas is the Managing Director at SEWA Bank at Ahmedabad. She has been involved with SEWA Bank for the last seventeen years. Ms. Vyas is one of the Promoter Directors of Ananya Finance for Inclusive Growth (P) Ltd. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience. She is also the founding Trustee of the Indian School of Microfinance for Women (ISMW). She is also board member of Invest India Micro Pension Services Pvt. Ltd. - Pension and Insurance Products Company for low income workers.
Ms. Moumita SenSarma : Ms. Moumita Sen Sarma was former Vice President, Head of Microfinance and Sustainable Development at ABN-Amro Bank, India. Prior to starting ABN AMRO's microfinance business in India, Ms. Sen Sarma worked within the Bank for over 5 years handling several responsibilities ranging from Risk Management to Financial Markets for Wholesale Customers. Starting in September 2003, the Bank has consistently been outperforming other peer foreign banks in lending to the microfinance sector. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Ms. Sen Sarma worked with American Express Bank for 3 years managing Corporate Relationships. Ms. Sen Sarma has a Bachelor's degree in Physics and is a Chartered Accountant having trained with Price Waterhouse. She is an Independent Director on the Board.
Ms. Kalpana Iyer: Ms. Kalpana Iyer is a Banking Professional with over 20 years of experience. She brings with her, experience and expertise in Business Management, Human Capital Management, Process Management & Reengineering, Marketing & Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience. She has served at senior level positions at Canbank, CRISIL and Citibank. Ms. Iyer represents FWWB and IFIG on the Board of Ananya Finance.
Ms. Girija Srinivasan: Girija Srinivasan is a freelance Development Consultant with expertise in the areas of microfinance, rural finance including micro enterprise finance, micro insurance, community based financial institutions (self help groups, federations), training, project formulation, monitoring and evaluation, and institutional assessment. Her clients include IFAD, UNOPS, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) and leading NGOs in India. She holds Masters degree in Business Administration [MBA], Gujarat University, and Bachelors degree in Commerce [BCom], Madras University. Ms. Srinivasan represents FWWB and IFIG on the Board of Ananya Finance.
